As part of the development of its iron ore project on the Nimba Mountains, the Nimba Development Company (NDC) has received the first batch of heavy machinery for the effective implementation of the project. The reception was made in Kourémalé, a locality on the border between the Republic of Guinea and Mali Bamako.
The reception of these mahichery was coordinated by Abdoulaye DONZO, Deputy Chief of Operations of NDC. The equipment will be transported to Lola, the main site of the project.
The arrival of this NDC equipment comes about two months after the analysis and examination of the scoping report and the terms of reference of the project.
It should be noted that the NDC iron ore project has a perimeter of about 22 square kilometers, and is located near the Nimba Mountains Strict Natural Reserve, classified as a World Heritage Site. This poses even more challenges in terms of environmental management.
